The sense of imagination, vital for self-implantation of mental programs, is found in the majority of people in a latent state as a result of repression in childhood, when you are forbidden to be yourself, dream or engage excessively in fantasy. Educators induce a child to connect with the hardest reality, characterizing any other form of thought as 'nonsens', 'having your head in the clouds', or 'only having nonsense in your head'. Even video game software programs are considered a virtual 'reality'. It leaves little room for fantasy and imagination.
Yet there is a mind capable of any imaginative feat which can be used at specific times without losing habitual contact with strict reality, which provides an extra dimension, which makes you more fulfilled and happy. The imagination, like any other mental or physical muscle, becomes stronger with exercise.
There are many ways to exercise the imagination and everyone should find his own particular route. Our virtual champion often uses an exercise which he calls 'the creation of screenplays'. This involves imagining a location where a determined series of events will occur through inventive characters. To avoid having to invent then from scratch, you can often think about someone you know to set up a specific personality, generally exotic or surrealistic. When he has built two or three characters (say a protagonist, an antagonist and a third in discord), the champion starts to make them interact in an imagined location, and the results are very often so spectacular that he is keen to put them in the computer and write up the story as it develops and sell it to some producer. From strengthening your imaginative ability, visual implantation in the mind of your own winnig programs is child's play.
